FAQ
This FAQ is divided into the following categories.
Common
This section describes troubleshooting that is common to all services.
The page is not displayed correctly.
Cause 1
You are using a Web browser that does not support the service you are using.
Remedy
Use a Web browser that supports the service you are using. See "System Requirements" for details.
Cause 2
The Web browser is not set appropriately.
Remedy
Specify the character encoding, script, and cookie settings correctly. See "Setting the Web Browser" for details. Also see "Web Browser Settings (When Using Internet Explorer)" if you are using Print Services with Internet Explorer.
The operation was suspended.
Cause 1
[Back] of the Web browser was used.
Remedy
Perform the operation again. Do not use [Back] of the browser.
Cause 2
A network error or timeout occurred.
Remedy
Perform the operation again from the beginning. The session times out if Canon Business Imaging Online is idle for 30 minutes.
The displayed language and time are incorrect.
Cause
The user information is incorrect.
Remedy
Set [Display Language] and [Time Zone] correctly in [Change Details].
The function you want to use is not displayed.
Cause
The required role is not set.
Remedy
Have the administrator set the required role, or log in with an account that has the required role set.
Changing User Information and Passwords
This section includes troubleshooting related to user information and passwords.
Cannot change user information.
Cause
The incorrect number of characters or invalid characters are used in an item.
Remedy
Confirm the description on the screen and enter the correct number of valid characters.
Cannot change a password.
Cause 1
The incorrect number of characters or invalid characters are used.
Remedy
Enter a password with the sufficient number of characters and a combination of valid characters. See "Changing the Password" for details.
Cause 2
[Current Password], [New Password], and [Confirm New Password] are not entered correctly.
Remedy
Enter the current password in [Current Password], the new password in [New Password], and the same password as [New Password] in [Confirm New Password].
A user forgot his/her password.
Cause
If the password has been forgotten, the user must reset the password.
Remedy
For more information, see "Resetting a Password".
User Management
This section includes troubleshooting related to user management.
Cannot add users or change user information.
Cause 1
The number or type of characters used in the user information is incorrect.
Remedy
Enter the correct number or type of characters for [User ID], [Password], and other settings.
Cause 2
A user with the same user ID already exists.
Remedy
Create a user with another user ID.
The desired user is not displayed when searching for a user.
Cause
The correct string is not entered for the keyword.
Remedy
Enter the correct uppercase and lowercase characters. Also, try changing the search item or using wildcard characters (*).
Cannot delete the user.
Cause 1
Another administrator is performing settings.
Remedy
Perform the operation again after the other administrator has finished performing settings.
Cause 2
The user has already been deleted by another administrator.
Remedy
Display the user list again, and confirm that the user has been deleted.
Cannot change a role.
Cause 1
There are insufficient licenses.
Remedy
Purchase another license.
Cause 2
Another administrator is performing settings.
Remedy
Perform the operation again after the other administrator has finished performing settings.
Cause 3
The user has already been deleted by another administrator.
Remedy
Display the user list again, and confirm that the user has been deleted.
Settings for Linking Authentication with Other Services
This section includes troubleshooting related to settings for linking authentication with other services.
Cannot upload the metadata file or certificate file.
Cause
The required file was not in the specified folder.
Remedy
Specify the folder with the required file.
Cannot download an authentication information mapping file.
Cause
The metadata file and certificate file have not been uploaded.
Remedy
Upload the metadata file and certificate file.
Cannot upload an authentication information mapping file.
Cause 1
The metadata file and certificate file have not been uploaded.
Remedy
Upload the metadata file and certificate file.
Cause 2
The required file was not in the specified folder.
Remedy
Specify the folder with the required file.
Cause 3
The size of the authentication information mapping file is too large.
Remedy
Divide the authentication information mapping file into several files and upload the authentication information mapping file several times.
Cannot use Single Sign-On to log on to Canon Business Imaging Online from Salesforce.
Cause
The entity ID of Salesforce differs from the entity ID registered in Canon Business Imaging Online.
Remedy
If any of the following entity IDs differ, it is necessary to download the certificate and metadata from Salesforce and newly register them on the Register and Manage ID Providers screen of Canon Business Imaging Online.

Log in with the administrator ID of Salesforce → select [Setup] in the user menu → [Security Controls] → [Identity Provider] → check the value in [ID Provider Name].

Tenant Management
This section includes troubleshooting related to tenant management.
The service usage amount cannot be retrieved.
Cause 1
A period before starting to use the service has been specified.
Remedy
Set a period that the service is used.
Cause 2
The schedule has already been deleted by another administrator.
Remedy
Schedule the output again.
Form Management
This section includes troubleshooting related to form management.
Cannot upload a form/image.
Cause 1
The required file was not found in the specified folder.
Remedy
Specify a folder that includes the required file.
Cause 2
A form/image with the same file name has already been registered.
Remedy
Change the file name of the form/image to upload.
Cause 3
The file name includes invalid characters.
Remedy
When invalid characters are used in the filename
Valid characters
Numerals: 0 to 9
Alphabetical characters a to z and A to Z (not case-sensitive)
Symbol: ! # $ % & ' = ~ ` + _ @ , ^ - ; ( ) { } [ ]
When the number of characters in the filename exceeds 64 bits (32 characters)
When a file extension other than FCP, FCX, BMP, EMF, WMF, TIF, TIFF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, or PNG is used
When the file has been edited in another application, etc.
Cannot delete a form/image.
Cause
The form/image has already been deleted by another user.
Remedy
Display the form/image list again, and confirm that the form/image has been deleted.
Print Management (Administrator)
This section includes troubleshooting related to print management (administrator).
Devices cannot be registered.
Cause 1
The devices are not turned ON.
Remedy
Turn the devices ON.
Cause 2
The device is not connected to the network.
Remedy
Connect the device to the network.
Cause 3
A CA certificate is not installed on the computer used with Print Services.
Remedy
Install the CA certificate of the corresponding device to the computer used with Print Services.
Cause 4
The SSL settings of the device are disabled.
Remedy
Enable the SSL settings of the device.
Cause 5
The PullPrint Service Provider settings are incorrect.
Remedy
Specify the PullPrint Service Provider settings.
The device information cannot be changed.
Cause 1
The devices are not turned ON.
Remedy
Turn the devices ON.
Cause 2
The device is not connected to the network.
Remedy
Connect the device to the network.
Print Management
This section includes troubleshooting related to print management.
Devices cannot be registered.
Cause 1
The corresponding devices have been deleted from the device list by an administrator.
Remedy
Register another device.
Cause 2
The devices are not turned ON.
Remedy
Turn the devices ON.
Cause 3
The device is not connected to the network.
Remedy
Connect the device to the network.
The device information cannot be changed.
Cause 1
The devices are not turned ON.
Remedy
Turn the devices ON.
Cause 2
The device is not connected to the network.
