Allowing the Default Password to Be Used When Logging In from the Remote UI

You can set the machine to allow the default password to be used when logging in from the Remote UI.
IMPORTANT
Allowing the default password should only be used as a temporary measure when you have forgotten the password, etc., as it is not recommended for security reasons.
Using the Touch Panel Display
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Management Settings] → [Security Settings] → [Authentication/Password Settings] → [Password Settings].
3.
Press [Allow Use of Default Password for Remote Access] → [On].
If you select [Off], you will become unable to log in using the default password, regardless of the setting in [Display Warning When Default Password Is in Use].
4.
Press [OK].
Using the Remote UI
1.
Click [Settings/Registration]→[Security Settings]→[Authentication/Password Settings].
2.
Press [Edit...] for <Password Settings>.
3.
Select [Allow Use of Default Password for Remote Access] → click [OK].
If you do not allow the default password to be used, you will become unable to log in using the default password, regardless of the setting in [Display Warning When Default Password Is in Use].
