Other Login Services
A login service is a service for authenticating the users that use the machine. User authentication is performed in the following two cases:
Performing user authentication by displaying a login screen on the touch panel display
Performing user authentication by displaying a login page when accessing the machine via a Web browser
The login service enabled by default is User Authentication, and this category assumes that User Authentication is enabled. (See "How User Authentication Works.")
The machine has another type of login service called DepartmentID Authentication.

You can use the functions of the machine, as well as MEAP applications if user authentication is performed once.
DepartmentID Authentication
DepartmentID Authentication is a login service that is based on Department ID Management, which manages users in departments.
DepartmentID Authentication has two types of users: administrator and general users. The functions of the machine, the Remote UI, and MEAP applications that can be used differ according to the type of user. Which users become administrator or general users depends on whether Department ID Management and System Manager Settings are set, as indicated in the table below.
