Displaying a Warning When Logging In with the Default Password
You can set the machine to display the screen for changing the password when the Administrator logs in to the machine using the default user name and password.
IMPORTANT
If you use the default password, security issues may arise. It is recommended that you change the password.
NOTE
If the password has expired, the screen for changing the password appears, regardless of this setting.
Using the Touch Panel Display
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Management Settings] → [Security Settings] → [Authentication/Password Settings] → [Password Settings].
3.
Press [Display Warning When Default Password Is in Use] → [On].
4.
Press [OK].
Using the Remote UI
1.
Click [Settings/Registration] → [Security Settings] → [Authentication/Password Settings].
2.
Press [Edit...] for <Password Settings>.
3.
Select [Display Warning When Default Password Is in Use] → click [OK].
