You can send faxes using the subaddress function (a function that attaches a password and sends faxes to the destination's memory box).
If you enter a password with the subaddress when sending a fax, the document data is sent to a memory box in the destination's fax and stored. This function is convenient when sending confidential documents as faxes.
IMPORTANT
When using the subaddress function, the destination's fax must support subaddress communication.
Faxes can be sent using the subaddress function only when using a device that is provided with a fax board as standard.
For details about the options required for this function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function."

1.
Select [Print] from the [File] menu of the application.
2.
Select your fax → [General Settings] → click [Add Destination].

If the destination is already registered in the address book, you can select the destination from the address book. For details about how to select an address from the address book, see "Faxing."
3.
Enter the name and fax number of the destination in [Destination Name] and [Fax Number] → select [Use Subaddress] → enter a subaddress and password for the memory box of the destination's fax.
4.
Click [OK].
5.
If you are sending to multiple destinations, repeat steps 2 to 4.
6.
Configure the required settings in each preferences pane → click [Print].
If you are using subaddresses, the data is sent to and saved in a memory box of the destination fax.

NOTE
The display may vary according to the operating system and fax driver version you are using.
