Staple Finisher-K1 (Optional)

If a paper jam occurs inside the Staple Finisher-K1, a screen prompting you to remove the jammed paper appears on the touch panel display. Follow the procedure described below, while referring to the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.

IMPORTANT
Take care when handling the optional equipment that is attached to the machine. When an optional unit's cover is opened to replace a staple cartridge, discard the punch waste, discard the trim waste, discard the staple waste, or clear paper or staple jams, prints may still be output if other optional units are operating normally, and are not involved in the paper or staple jam removal procedure.

NOTE
The following illustration indicates the location of the paper jam. Please refer to it to remove the jammed paper. Front Cover *Entrance Guide The Staple Finisher-K1 is an optional product.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Slide the guide (F-A1) to align it with the mark.

This procedure is necessary only if the Puncher Unit-BF1 is attached.

Open the entrance guide.

Remove any jammed paper.

	1. Remove any jammed paper.

CAUTION
When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Open the guide (F-B1).

Remove any jammed paper.

Turn the lower dial (F-B2) in the direction of the arrow (counterclockwise).

Remove any paper jammed in the guide (F-B3).

	1. Open the guide (F-B3).
	2. Remove any jammed paper.
	3. Close the guide (F-B3).

When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Close the front cover of the finisher.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared.
