Check the location of the paper jam, and follow the procedure described below, while referring to the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.
1.
Close the cover that is open.
CAUTION
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Open the front cover of the main unit, and turn the dial 15 times.

Remove any jammed paper.
1. Grip the green lever, and pull out the fixing transport unit.
2. Remove any jammed paper.
4.
Remove any jammed paper from the edge guide.
1. Open the edge guide.
2. Remove any jammed paper.
3. Close the edge guide.
CAUTION
When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
5.
Remove any jammed paper from the fixing transport unit.
CAUTION
The fixing unit and its surroundings are subject to high-temperatures. When removing jammed paper, take care not to touch anything in this area.
The inner output guide and its surroundings are subject to high-temperatures. When removing jammed paper, take care not to touch anything in this area.
6.
Open the inner output unit, and remove any jammed paper.
1. Open the inner output unit.
2. Open the inner output guide.
3. Remove any jammed paper.
7.
Gently push the inner output unit back into its original position.
8.
Remove any jammed paper from the 2-sided guide.
1. Open the 2-sided guide, holding by the green tab.
2. Remove any jammed paper.
3. Close the 2-sided guide.
CAUTION
When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
9.
Gently push the fixing transport unit back into its original position, and close the front cover of the main unit.
1. Gently push the fixing transport unit back into its original position.
2. Close the front cover.

When returning the unit to its original position or closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
10.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTE
The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared.
