Check the location of the paper jam, and follow the procedure described below, while referring to the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.
1.
Open the front cover of the Document Insertion/Folding Unit-G1.
2.
Open the lower delivery guide.
3.
Pull out the folding unit.
4.
Remove any jammed paper from the exit slot.
1. Push out any jammed paper toward the exit slot.
2. Remove any jammed paper.
5.
Remove any jammed paper from the left guide.
1. Open the left guide.
2. Remove any jammed paper from the inside guide.
3. Remove any jammed paper from the outside guide.
6.
Remove any jammed paper from the right guide.
1. Open the right guide.
2. Remove any jammed paper.
3. Close the right guide.
CAUTION
When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
7.
Close the left guide, and return the folding unit to its original position.
1. Close the left guide.
2. Return the folding unit to its original position.

8.
Close the lower delivery guide and the front cover.

CAUTION
When closing the guide and cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
9.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTE
The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared.
