Adjusting Fan Level for Paper Separation

You can adjust the fan level of the side fan and the overhead fan for the custom paper type. This setting is applied to the paper that is loaded in the POD Deck Lite-C1, POD Deck-D1,or Secondary POD Deck-D1.
IMPORTANT
This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
This adjustment for the fan level is not required since it is automatically adjusted by the main unit. However, the adjustment may prevent paper jam, multi-sheet feeding or corner fold.
The only adjustable setting for the POD Deck Lite-C1 is the side fan level.

1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings].
3.
Select the paper type that you want to edit from the list → press [Details/ Edit].
4.
Press [Change] for <Adj. Fan Level for Paper Sep.>.
5.
Press [-] or [+] to adjust <Side Fan> or <Overhead Fan> level → [OK].
You can also use the numeric keys to set the level.
Details of each item are shown below:
[-5] to [-1]:
Select when high-density areas are not printed evenly, or when the amount of curl is at an unusually high level due to a lack of moisture, paper characteristics, and variable humid conditions.
[0]:
The default setting.
[1] to [5]:
Select when paper jams occur frequently, or when the temperature and humidity are high.
