Paper Jams in the Staple Finisher-V1/Booklet Finisher-V1

Check the location of the paper jam on the touch panel display, and remove it. The Staple Finisher-V1/Booklet Finisher-V1 are optional. Optional Equipment

Inside the Front Cover

Follow the procedure described in this section to clear the paper jam.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Turn the delivery knob and feed the jammed paper to the main tray.

Remove the jammed paper from the paper output area of the main tray.
Open the output guide and use your finger to keep it open.
Remove the jammed paper.
Close the output guide.

Open the escape guide.
Open the lower escape guide.
Open the upper escape guide.

Remove the jammed paper.
Remove the jammed paper.
Close the upper escape guide.

Lift the first flap.

Remove the jammed paper.
Remove the jammed paper.
Lower the first flap.
Close the lower escape guide.

Remove the jammed paper from the puncher unit or entrance guide.
When the 2/3 Hole Puncher Unit-A1 or 2/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A1 is attached.
Lift the puncher unit.
Remove the jammed paper.
Lower the puncher unit.
When the 2/3 Hole Puncher Unit-A1 or 2/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A1 is not attached.
Open the entrance guide.
Remove the jammed paper.
Close the entrance guide.

Close the front cover of the finisher.

Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
Resume the procedure that was interrupted.

Saddle Stitcher Unit of the Booklet Finisher-V1

Follow the procedure described in this section to clear the paper jam.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Pull out the saddle stitcher unit.
Turn the knob at the top of the saddle stitcher unit about 10 times.
Pull out the saddle stitcher unit.

Remove the jammed paper.
Open the transparent guide.
Remove the jammed paper.
Close the transparent guide.

Gently push the saddle stitcher unit back into its original position.

Close the front cover of the finisher.

Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
Resume the procedure that was interrupted.
