      Paper Jams in the Document Insertion / Folding Unit-J1
      Check the location of the paper jam on the touch panel display, and remove it. The Document Insertion / Folding Unit-J1 is optional. Optional Equipment
      IMPORTANT
      Part of the Document Insertion / Folding Unit-J1 may interfere with the finisher when clearing jams. Lift up the document insertion unit before removing jams from the finisher.

      Follow the procedure described in this section to clear the paper jam.

      Remove the paper that is not jammed from the document insertion unit.

      Open the top cover.
      3
      Remove the jammed paper from the top cover.
      Remove the jammed paper.
      Close the top cover.

      Open the front cover and the document insertion unit.
      Open the front cover.
      Open the document insertion unit.

      Remove the jammed paper from the delivery unit.
      Open the delivery unit.
      Remover the jammed paper.
      Close the delivery unit.

      Close the document insertion unit and the front cover.
      7
      Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
      Resume the procedure that was interrupted.
      Inside the Document Insertion Unit
      Follow the procedure described in this section to clear the paper jam.

      Open the front cover.

      Open the lower delivery guide.
      3
      Remove the jammed paper.
      Remove the jammed paper.
      Close the lower delivery guide.

      Close the front cover.
      5
      Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
      Resume the procedure that was interrupted.
      CZ Folding Unit
      Follow the procedure described in this section to clear the paper jam.

      Open the front cover.
      2
      Open the lower delivery guide.
      3
      Remove the jammed paper.
      4
      Pull out the CZ folding unit.
      5
      Remove the jammed paper from the exit slot.
      Push out the jammed paper toward the exit slot.
      Remove the paper that is pushed out.
      6
      Remove the jammed paper from the left guide.
      Open the left guide.
      Remove the jammed paper from the inside guide.
      Remove the jammed paper from the outside guide.

      Remove the jammed paper from the right guide.
      Open the right guide.
      Remove the jammed paper.
      Close the right guide.

      Close the left guide and return the CZ folding unit back into its original position.

      Close the lower delivery guide and the front cover.
      10
      Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
      Resume the procedure that was interrupted.
