You can create a PDF compatible with Rights Management Server. The permission to access the sent PDF can be edited with the Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES.

Remark
  • This mode cannot be used with the default setting. Also, the Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES is necessary. Contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
  • You must set the following settings in advance to send the PDF file linked with Rights Management Server.
  • The server URL, user name, password, and use password per user are set in [Rights Management Server Settings]. (See "Setting a Rights Management Server.")
  • The Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management server and the machine are connected via the intranet or internet.
  • You cannot set the PDF linked with Rights Management Server with the same settings as the following file format.
  • Encrypt
  • Format PDF to PDF/A (See "Standardize PDF as PDF/A.")

  1. Place your originals and specify the destination → press the File Format button.

  1. Press [PDF] → [Set Details].

If [Set Details] is not displayed, press [Apply Policy] on the File Format screen → proceed step 4.

  1. Press [Apply Policy].

  1. Enter the user name and password → press [OK].

  • The login screen differs according to the settings in [Rights Management Server Settings]. (See "Setting a Rights Management Server.")
  • If you enter a user name and password in [Rights Management Server Settings] and set [Use Password for Each User] to 'Off', the login screen is displayed with the user name and password set in [Rights Management Server Settings] automatically entered.
  • If [User Password for Each User] is set to 'On' in [Rights Management Server Settings], it is necessary to enter a user name and password for each user on the login screen. When a login service such as SSO-H is being used and [Store Password] is set to 'On', the user name and password are saved and automatically entered when that user logs in next time.
  1. Select the policy from the policy list → press [OK].

The policies registered in the Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management server are displayed in the policy list.
