Using the SSL

To "Settings/Registration Table"

If the MEAP application is used by accessing this machine via Web browser, you can set whether to use the SSL communication.

  1. Press (Settings/Registration) → [Management Settings] → [License/Other] → [MEAP Settings] → [SSL Settings].
  1. Select [On] or [Off].

Details of each item are shown below.

[On]: SSL is used to communicate.
[Off]: SSL is not used to communicate.
  1. Press [OK].
  • Before setting <Use SSL> to 'On', it is necessary to set a default key in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration). (See "Changing the Key Pair Used With SSL Encrypted Communications.")
  • Any changes made to <Use SSL> are also applied to <Use SSL> in [Remote UI] in [Management Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "Setting Remote UI.")
  • The Use SSL mode is enabled only after you restart the machine (the main power switch is turned OFF, and then back ON). For instruction on restarting (turning the main power switch OFF and then ON) the machine, see "Before You Start Using This Machine."
