How to Set an ICC Profile

- Setting with Adobe Photoshop CS5 -

Follow these steps to set an ICC profile when printing via Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Macintosh (When using Mac OS X 10.5 or later)

Refer to the setting for Adobe Photoshop CS4, when using versions earlier than Mac OS X 10.5

Setting with Adobe Photoshop CS4

1Select the image for which you want to set a profile from Photoshop and click File, then select Print....

The Print dialog box appears.

2From Color Handling, select Photoshop Manages Colors.

3From Printer Profile, select the installed ICC profile.

4Select a method for Rendering Intent.

5Uncheck figure: CheckBox Black Point Compensation.

Next, set up the printer driver.

6Click Print Settings..., then set Printer and Paper Size from the Print dialog box.

7Select Quality & Media from the pop-up menu.

8Set Media Type and Paper Source.

From Paper Name & Corresponding ICC Profile, select the Media Type and Paper Source that matches the paper you want to use for printing.

Reference

To select Other Glossy Paper (Margin 35), Other Fine Art Paper 1, or Other Fine Art Paper 2 for Media Type, return to step 6 and select Art XX (Margin 35) from Paper Size.

XX stands for the paper size.

9Select High for Print Quality or select Custom and specify the print quality.

10Click Save and close the Print dialog box.

11Click Print and start printing.
