      Display and Operation Problems
      Cannot press buttons or select items, or items are not displayed.
      The function is only available to administrators. General users cannot access these settings.
      An administrator has restricted the operations that are available to general users, to prevent unauthorized use or to limit the use of functions.
      An administrator is using user authentication to restrict the functions that are available. If you log in using an ID with access privileges, you can use the function.
      The function is not available because the optional equipment or system options that activate the function are not installed.
      The button display settings have been changed. For Main Menu buttons, press <Display All> and search for the desired button. For Basic Features screen buttons, press <Options> and search for the desired button.
      Setting items are restricted by the security policy settings. To change the settings, you need to log into the Remote UI with Administrator privileges.
      Some of the settings imported from another device are not applied.
      If a security policy setting has been configured, you cannot import settings that violate it.
      Text is garbled when opening an exported log file.
      Text may be garbled if you use an older version of Microsoft Excel to open a CSV file. Open the file using the latest version of Microsoft Excel or other database software.
      Logs are not being recorded even though log collection started.
      If you try to obtain a log immediately after log collection starts, the collection results may not be applied to the log file. A certain amount of time is required in order to perform log collection. Wait a while, then try to obtain the log file again.
      Security Policy Setting Problems
      Settings did not return to their original values in <Settings/Registration>, even after they were deselected in the security policy settings.
      For any machine settings that were changed when the security policy settings were applied, you cannot simply clear the check box to restore the previously set values. After removing the check mark, use or [Settings/Registration] on the Remote UI to change the corresponding settings.
      Cannot import the security policy settings.
      Does the importing machine have the same security policy password as that of the exporting machine? Remove the password from the importing machine, or set the password so that it matches that of the exporting machine.
      The security administrator password input screen is displayed even though no password has been set.
      If a password has been set for the security policy settings on the exporting machine, the same password is automatically set to importing machine when security policy settings are imported. Check the password on the exporting machine.
      MEAP Problems
      A failure occurred with the automatic retrieval of domain information or service information when firewall settings are configured on Windows Server.
      Communication with the DNS server* is blocked due to firewall settings. Unblock port 53 (the default port).
      *The DNS server normally uses port 53 to perform communication with the UDP protocol, but data over a certain size may be processed using the TCP protocol.
      A failure occurred with the connection to the Active Directory server, when firewall settings are configured on Windows Server (an error message indicating that the authentication server is not running is displayed).
      Communications with the Active Directory* (server) are blocked due to firewall settings. Unblock port 88 (the default port).
      * When the Active Directory is specified as the login destination, port 88 is normally used to perform communication with the UDP protocol, but data over a certain size may be processed using the TCP protocol.
      A failure occurred with user authentication when firewall settings are configured on Windows Server.
      LDAP authentication server* is blocked due to firewall settings. Unblock port 389.
      * LDAP authentication server normally uses port 389 to perform communication with the TCP protocol. If you changed the port setting, unblock the port that you changed to.
      Cannot log in using Active Directory server authentication.
      Was user registration performed before Active Directory was installed? Accounts are automatically generated in the "Users" folder after Active Directory is installed. However, because no user login names are set, user information cannot be obtained when keys are generated, and login cannot be performed for user authentication with Active Directory. Follow the procedure below to change the settings.
      1 Start the Active Directory management tool, "Active Directory Users and Computers."
      2 Right-click the user that failed to be authenticated.
      3 Select [Properties] from the pop-up menu that appears.
      4 Select the [Account] tab → enter a name in [User logon name] → click [OK].
      5 Right-click the user name you changed.
      6 Select [Reset Password] from the pop-up menu that appears.
      7 Enter a new password in the [Reset Password] dialog box → click [OK].
      It takes a long time for the machine to start up.
      The SRV record that was obtained when automatically retrieving domain information includes a host name that cannot be resolved (the address cannot be identified).
      The DNS server configured on the machine cannot be found, or communication cannot be established. Check the settings and your communication environment.
      If a network connection waiting time has been configured on the machine, change the setting.
      It takes a long time to log in.
      Check that the domain name specified on the configured DNS server can be resolved (the address can be identified), and make changes if necessary.

      There are multiple domain controllers that manage the specified domain. With user authentication, the authentication process is performed for all domain controllers until login is successful, which may take some time. Check the domain controllers and make changes if necessary.
