Setting Whether to Include Passwords When Exporting the Address Book

To "Settings/Registration Table"

You can set whether to include the passwords registered in destinations when exporting the Address Book using the Remote UI.

Remark
  • You can set whether to export the following passwords:
  • The password for subaddress transmission set in fax destinations.
  • The authentication password set for file server destinations (including Advanced Boxes that are opened externally).
  • For information on exporting the Address Book, see "Saving the Address Book" in "Remote UI."

  1. Press (Settings/Registration) → [Set Destination] → [Require Password for Exporting Address Book].
  1. Select [On] or [Off] → press [OK].

Details of each item are shown below:

[On]: Include passwords in the exported file.
[Off]: Do not include passwords in the exported file.
  • If this setting is set to 'Off', it is necessary to register the passwords again in the machine the destinations are imported to.
