To "Settings/Registration Table"

You can set a PIN for the Address Book. If a PIN is set, restrictions can be placed on the registering, editing, and erasing of destinations.

Remark
  • You can enter up to seven digits for the Address Book PIN. If you enter fewer than seven digits, the machine stores the PIN with leading zeros.
Example: If <321> is entered, <0000321> is stored.

  1. Press (Settings/Registration) → [Set Destination] → [Address Book PIN].
  1. Press [Set].
  1. Press [PIN] → enter the desired PIN - (numeric keys).
  1. Press [Confirm] → re-enter the PIN for confirmation using - (numeric keys) → press [OK] → [OK].

If you do not want to set the Address Book with a PIN, press [OK] without entering any numbers.

You cannot store a PIN with only zeros as the number, such as <0000000>. If you enter a number that begins with zeros, the leading zeros are ignored.
Example: If <02> or <002> is entered, <0000002> is stored.
