Selecting the Telephone Line When Sending Fax

If you have added lines, you can select the telephone line to use for sending a facsimile.

For information on the optional products required to use this function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function (imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9075 PRO/C9065 PRO)" or "Optional Products Required for Each Function (imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7065/C7055)."

  1. Press [Options] → [Select Line].
  1. Select the telephone line → press [OK].

Details of each item are shown below.

[Line 1]: Standard line
[Line 2]: Additional line (Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board is installed)
[Line 3]: Additional line (Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board and Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board are installed)
[Line 4]: Additional line (Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board and Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board are installed)
[Auto]: Selects the line according to the settings specified for <Priority TX> in [Select TX Line]. (See "Setting the Line to Use when Sending.")
  • You can prohibit sending from a line that is not specified in [Priority TX]. (See "Setting the Line to Use when Sending.")
  • Even if you set to prohibit using line 1 (standard line) for sending documents, line 1 (standard line) is still used for fax information services.
  • When using manual sending, line 1 (standard line) is automatically selected, regardless of the line settings.
  • If [Auto] is selected, the unit's telephone number and name that are registered for the line used for sending are displayed on the touch panel display of the receiving party's machine or printed on the recipient's paper.
  • If you have added lines, the unit's telephone number and name registered for the line which is set in <Priority TX> in [Select TX Line] are displayed. (See "Setting the Line to Use when Sending.")
  • When using the Fax function with the Remote Fax Kit, the number of lines you can select is determined by the following setting:
  • [No. of TX Lines] in [Remote Fax TX Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "Remote Fax TX Settings.")
