If an error occurs while a document is being sent, an error code appears in Details on the Status Monitor/Cancel screen, and is included in various reports such as the Communication Management Report.

Error Code Cause Remedy
#751 The server is not functioning. The network is not connected. (Either you could not connect to the destination, or the connection was lost before the job could be completed.) Check the recipient's address. Check the status of the network.
If WebDAV sending is based on the conditions below, set Use Divided Chunk Send for WebDAV TX in Send in Function Settings (Settings/Registration) to 'On'.
  • The destination uses IIS6.0 with Windows Server 2003.
  • The WebDAV server uses Digest authentication.
  • SSL communication is performed via a proxy.
The IP address is not set. Check the TCP/IP Settings in Preferences (Settings/Registration).
#752 The server is not functioning. The network is not connected. Check that the SMTP server is operating properly. Check the status of the network.
The SMTP server name for the e-mail or I-fax is not correct. Alternatively, the domain name or e-mail address may not be set. Check the SMTP Server name, domain name, and E-Mail Address in E-Mail/I-Fax Settings of Communication Settings in Function Settings (Settings/Registration).

#753 A TCP/IP error occurred while sending an e-mail message. (Socket, Select error, etc.) Check that the network cables and connectors are properly connected. If the machine still does not operate normally, turn the main power OFF, and then back ON.
#755 You cannot send jobs because TCP/IP is not functioning correctly. Check the TCP/IP Settings in Preferences (Settings/Registration).
Confirm following the procedures below:
Press (Settings/Registration) → [Preferences] → [Network] → [TCP/IP Settings] → [IPv4 Settings].
The IP address is not set.
When the machine was turned ON, an IP address was not assigned to the machine by the DHCP, RARP, or BOOTP server.
#766 The certificate used to send a PDF or XPS with a digital signature has expired. Update the certificate, or use a certificate which has not expired.
Set the correct date and time in Preferences (Settings/Registration).
Follow the procedures below.
Press (Settings/Registration) → [Preferences] → [Date/Time Settings].
#804 The machine was unable to match the specified directory name when sending data to a file server. Check the destination.
You do not have permission to access the folder. Change the settings on the file server to enable access to the folder, or contact the server administrator.
#806 An incorrect user name or password was specified for the sending of a file to a file server. Change the user name or password.
An incorrect destination was specified for the sending of an e-mail message or I-fax. Check the e-mail or I-fax address.
#863 An error occurred while processing the PDL data or image data. Check the settings, and perform the operation again.
