Allowing Users Logged In as Guests to Send

Return to Overview

To "Settings/Registration Table"

You can set whether to allow sending by users logged in as guests when using a login service, such as SSO-H.

  1. Press (Settings/Registration) → [Function Settings] → [Send] → [E-Mail/I-Fax Settings] → [Allow Sending to Unregistered Destinations].
  1. Select [On] or [Off] → press [OK].

Details of each item are shown below:

[On]: Users logged in as guests are allowed to perform sending. In this case, the e-mail address of the machine is used as the sender.
[Off]: Users logged in as guests are not allowed to perform sending.
  • Even if [Allow Sending to Unregistered Destinations] is set to `Off', users that are logged in as guests can still perform sending if [Set Authentication User Dest. to Sender] is set to `Off'. In this case, the e-mail address of the machine is used as the sender. (See "Setting Authorized User E-Mail Address as the Sender.")
  • The e-mail address of the machine can be checked in [Communication Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration). (See "Common Communication Settings for E-Mail/I-Fax.")
