 When removing paper from the tray of the finisher, do not place your hands on the output tray of the finisher. The tray may move upward and your hands may get caught.

You cannot staple tracing paper, transparencies, or labels.
The following paper sizes can be saddle stitched: 11" x 17", LGL, or LTRR
You cannot saddle stitch tracing paper, transparencies, pre-punched paper, tab paper, or labels.
The machine automatically selects how many holes to punch depending on the selected paper size.
- Two holes: LGL, LTRR - Three holes: 11" x 17", LTR You cannot punch holes in tracing paper, transparencies, pre-punched paper, or labels.
The following paper sizes can be saddle folded: 11" x 17", LGL, or LTRR
You cannot saddle fold tracing paper, transparencies, pre-punched paper, tab paper, or labels.

If the Collate or Group mode is set, the output trays move downward as the stack of paper that is output increases in quantity and thickness. Once an output tray has reached its stacking limit, subsequent prints are automatically delivered to the next available tray. If all of the available trays have reached their stacking limits, printing stops. Remove all of the output paper from the trays. The trays move upward, and printing resumes.
If you press [Offset] when either the Collate or Group mode is set, each set of prints is shifted approximately 1 1/4" (30 mm) alternately to the front and back of the tray before it is delivered to the output tray.
If the Staple mode is set, the output tray moves downward as the stack of paper that is output increases in quantity and thickness. Once an output tray has reached its stacking limit, printing and stapling stop. When all of the stapled prints from the output tray are removed, printing and stapling resume.
When you are using the Staple mode, do not remove the stack of paper from the output tray during the job. Remove the stack of paper when the job has been completed.
The maximum numbers of sheets that can be stapled are as follows:
LTR and EXEC: 50 sheets of paper (16 lb bond to 21 lb bond (60 to 80 g/m2)), 30 sheets of paper (22 lb bond to 28 lb bond (81 to 105 g/m2)), 2 sheets of paper (29 lb bond to 140 lb index (106 to 256 g/m2))
11" x 17", LGL, and LTRR: 30 sheets of paper (16 lb bond to 21 lb bond (60 to 80 g/m2)), 20 sheets of paper (22 lb bond to 28 lb bond (81 to 105 g/m2)), 2 sheets of paper (29 lb bond to 140 lb index (106 to 256 g/m2))
If the machine stops while stapling and the message <Load staples into the stapler unit.> appears, almost all of the staples have been used, and the staple cartridge must be replaced. To proceed, replace the staple cartridge. (See "Maintenance.")
The Saddle Stitch mode is available only if the Booklet Finisher-P1 is attached.
Make sure to adjust the Booklet Tray guide to match the size of the output paper before outputting saddle stitched prints, as shown below.
A paper jam may occur if the Booklet Tray guide is not adjusted to match the size of the output paper.
The maximum number of sheets, including cover sheets, that can be saddle stitched is as follows:
16 sheets (16 to 20 lb bond (60 to 80 g/m2))
10 sheets (21 to 28 lb bond (81 to 105 g/m2))
5 sheets (29 to 40 lb bond (106 to 150 g/m2))
4 sheets (56 lb cover to 110 lb index (151 to 209 g/m2))
The accuracy of folds created in the Saddle Stitch mode may vary depending on the paper type and the number of sheets.
For information on the maximum number of sheets that can be Z-folded and stapled when the Document Insertion/Folding Unit-H1 is attached, see "Staple Mode with the Z-fold Mode."
The Hole Punch mode is available only if the External 2/3 Hole Puncher-A1 is attached.
The Saddle Fold mode is available only if the Booklet Finisher-P1 is attached.
The paper is saddle folded with a 1 sheet (20 lb bond (80 g/m2)), and then output.
