Windows Vista SP2
Windows Server 2008/R2
Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows Server 2012
Red Hat Linux 9 and Samba 2.2.8a or later
You can send data over a TCP/IP network to any of the following:
FTP server (Windows Server 2003/Server 2008/Vista/7/Server 2008 R2/8/Server 2012, UNIX, Linux)
WebDAV server (Windows Server 2003/Server 2008/Vista/7/Server 2008 R2/8/Server 2012, UNIX, Linux)
Windows sharedfolder (Windows Server 2003/Server 2008/Vista/7/Server 2008 R2/8/Server 2012)
Samba shared folder (UNIX/Linux)
This section describes how to set up a computer as an FTP/WebDAV server.
IMPORTANT
|
Samba 2.2.8a or later is supported.
This section describes only the procedures for setting up a computer receiving data sent from the machine. To send data from the machine to a server on the network, you must enter an address setting from the control panel. For instructions on specifying recipient address settings, see "Specifying Destinations."
The following procedure explains a sample FTP/WebDAV server setup. Depending on your environment, the actual setup procedure may differ.
