Specifying a Destination by Entering a File Server
This section describes the procedure for sending scanned files to a file server on the network.

IMPORTANT
Windows XP/Vista/7/Server 2003/Server 2008 restrict access numbers for the number of users and clients. If the limit of users or clients is exceeded, it is not possible to send documents to a file server using Windows XP/Vista/7/Server 2003/Server 2008.
If you set [Language/Keyboard Switch On/Off] to 'On', the host name and folder path of the file server destination may not be displayed correctly, and you may not be able to browse them. (See "Enabling the Language/Keyboard Switch.")
NOTE
For examples of the settings that are needed to send documents to a file server, see "Setting Up a Computer as a File Server" for the SMB/CIFS network and "Setting Up a Computer as a File Server" for the TCP/IP network.
