Logging In to SMS
0R9W-029
Log in to SMS from the Remote UI portal page.
There are two methods for logging in; performing authentication with the user name and password of an administrator, and performing authentication with the SMS password.
You can switch the login method on the [System Application Management] page in [System Management]. (See "Switching to the Login Method for Using the SMS Password.")

IMPORTANT
By default, you can log in using the user name and password of the Administrator, because User Authentication is enabled.
If DepartmentID Authentication is set as the login service, you cannot log in to SMS with the user name and password of the machine.
Multiple users cannot log in to SMS at the same time.
You cannot connect to the machine via a proxy server. In the proxy server settings of your Web browser, add the IP address of the machine to the [Exceptions] (addresses that do not use a proxy) list. (As these settings differ depending on the network environment, contact the administrator for the network you are using.)
Only enter characters in your Web browser that can also be entered from the touch panel display of the machine. Otherwise, the characters you enter from your Web browser may not be displayed or recognized correctly on the touch panel display.
When you finish using SMS, make sure you log out. If you close the Web browser without logging out, SMS becomes temporarily inaccessible.
