Setting Automatic Distribution

You can set to automatically deliver device information at a specified time. You can also select which information to deliver.
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).

Press [Management Settings] → [Device Management] → [Device Information Distribution Settings].
3.
Press [Set Auto Distribution] for <Transmitting Settings> → select [Everyday] or [Specify Days].
NOTE
If you do not want to set automatic distribution, select [Off] → press [OK] → [OK].
If you select [Everyday]:
If you select [Specify Days]:
If you select [Everyday]:
Press [Everyday].
Select a number ([1] to [5]).
Enter the start time using - (numeric keys) → press [Next].
You can store up to five different start times.
The time is displayed in 24-hour notation. Enter the time as a four digit number including zeros.
Examples:
7:05 a.m.
→0705
11:18 p.m.
→2318
If you make a mistake when entering the time, enter another four digit number.
If you select [Specify Days]:
Press [Specify Days].
Select a day of the week ([Sun] to [Sat]) → select a number ([1] to [5]).
Enter the start time using - (numeric keys) → press [Next].
You can store up to five different start times for each day of the week.
The time is displayed in 24-hour notation. Enter the time as a four digit number including zeros.
Examples:
7:05 a.m.
→0705
11:18 p.m.
→2318
If you make a mistake when entering the time, enter another four digit number.

Specify each setting → press [Next].
Press [On] for an item to deliver that data.
If you press [On] for <Settings/Registration Value>, set <Network Settings>. You can press [Include] → [OK] to deliver the network settings.

Select the destination → press [OK] → [OK].

IMPORTANT
When delivering device information, the following machines will not update their information:
Machines which are processing a send job
Machines importing or exporting data via the Remote UI
The client machine which is receiving device information from another host machine will not update the address book.
The client machine which is performing a print job will not update the printer settings.
Machines which could not receive device information because of a power failure or network trouble, will not receive updated information until the first automatic update after the machine recovers.
NOTE
Device information is not delivered if the machine has entered the shutdown process, even if an automatic distribution time is set.
