Does the machine have sufficient memory?

Delete unnecessary documents and documents with errors from memory to increase the amount of available memory. (See "Fax/I-Fax Inbox," "Scan and Store," and "Access Stored Files.")

The machine does not receive fax documents.

Is the RX password set in your machine?

If <RX Password> is set in [Fax Settings], documents can be received only from senders that use the correct password. Confirm this with your System Manager. (See "Setting the Receive Password.")

Documents cannot be received in Confidential Fax Inboxes.

Are the forwarding conditions in [Forwarding Settings] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration) set correctly?

Check the Forwarding Conditions, and inform the sender of those settings. (See "Forwarding Received Documents.")

Is [Forwarding Settings] set to 'On' using [Validate/Invalidate]?

Forwarding Settings must be set to 'On' to be effective. (See "Checking/Changing Forwarding Settings," "Forwarding Received Documents," and "Deleting Forwarding Settings.")

Is there sufficient available memory?

Delete unnecessary documents and documents with errors from memory to increase the amount of available memory. (See "Fax/I-Fax Inbox," "Scan and Store," and "Access Stored Files.")

Delete unnecessary documents from the Confidential Fax Inboxes. (See "Fax/I-Fax Inbox.")

Is the platen glass of the sender's machine clean?

Make a few copies using your machine. If the copies are not streaked, the problem is in the sending party's machine. Contact the sender and ask them to send the document again.
