Restricting Access to the Shared Button

Remark
  • Only the System Manager, or SSO-H System Administrator (Administrator)/Network Administrator (NetworkAdmin)/Device Administrator (DeviceAdmin) can specify the access restrictions for the Quick Menu. For information on the types of administrators, see "Administrator Settings"
  • If authentication is not set, the Personal buttons are not displayed.

  1. On the Quick Menu screen, press .

  1. Press [Restrict Quick Menu Use].

  • If only the System Manager Settings is set and the authentication mode is not used, the log in screen is displayed when [Restrict Quick Menu Use] is pressed. Enter the System Manager ID and System Password. The default setting for both the System Manager ID and System Password is '7654321'. (See "Specifying the System Manager Settings.")
  1. Specify the Restrict Quick Menu Use → press [OK].

The following items can be set:

[Register Shared Buttons]: Set whether to allow general users and unregistered users to register, edit, and delete Shared buttons, and change the size of buttons and the wallpaper image. Set [Register Shared Buttons] to 'On' to allow these operations. Set [Register Shared Buttons] to 'Off' to not allow these operations.

[Use Personal Button]: Set whether Personal buttons are used. If [Use Personal Button] is set to 'On', Personal buttons can be used. If [Use Personal Button] is set to 'Off', Personal buttons cannot be used.
