- The Auto Sleep mode enables you to conserve more energy than the Low-Power mode.
- Press the control panel power switch to enter the sleep mode when you are not using the machine for a prolonged period of time, for example, at night.

- If a Macintosh, which has been shut down, is connected to the machine via a USB cable, when you turn the machine ON, the Macintosh may also turn ON. In this case, disconnect the Macintosh from the machine. (You may also be able to solve this problem by using a USB hub between the machine and the Macintosh).
- If Sleep Mode Energy Use is set to 'Low', it may take more than 10 seconds for the touch panel to be displayed after pressing the control panel power switch.
- The time it takes for the machine to automatically enter the Sleep mode can be set from 5 minutes to 4 hours. The default setting is '15' minutes. (See "Auto Sleep Time.")
