Using the USB Port
You can specify the settings related to the USB port.
Using the Machine as a USB Device
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Preferences] → [External Interface] → [USB Settings].
3.
Press [Use as USB Device] → [On] → [OK].
Press [Off] to not use the USB device.
Using the MEAP Driver for USB Input Device Connections
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Preferences] → [External Interface] → [USB Settings].
3.
Press [Use MEAP Driver for USB Storage Device] → [On] → [OK].
Press [Off] to not use the MEAP driver for USB input device.
IMPORTANT
Depending on the type of MEAP application that uses device such as a keyboard or card reader, you may need to set this setting to 'On'. To check whether you need to set this setting to 'On', see the manual for the MEAP application you are using, or contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Using the MEAP Driver for USB External Storage
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Preferences] → [External Interface] → [USB Settings].
3.
Press [Use MEAP Driver for USB Storage Device] → [On] → [OK].
Press [Off] to not use the MEAP driver for USB external storage device.
IMPORTANT
Depending on the type of MEAP application that uses USB external memory device, you may need to set this setting to 'On'. To check whether you need to set this setting to 'On', see the manual for the MEAP application you are using, or contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

NOTE
Settings specified from the control panel become effective after the machine is restarted, after the procedure. If <Perform Apply Setting Changes from Settings/Regist.> is displayed on the bottom of the touch panel display, you can press [Apply Set. Chng.] in (Settings/Registration) to restart the machine.
