Initializing after Replacing Parts

After replacing the drum unit, follow the procedure described below to initialize the drum unit. For information on replacing the drum unit, see "Replacing the Drum Unit."
IMPORTANT
Do not initialize the drum unit if you have not replaced it.
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Adjustment/Maintenance] → [Maintenance] → [Initialize After Replacing Parts].
3.
Select [Drum Unit] → press [Yes].
