Red-Eye Correction

[Red-Eye Correction]: [On], [Off]*
[Red-Eye Correction Level]: [Weak], [Standard]*, [Strong]

Detects and corrects red-eyes on photographs occurred because of the flash or electronic flash when photographing. You can also make corrections when only half of the face is shown on the photograph.
You can specify the settings for each type of data: [Red-Eye Correction] and [Red-Eye Correction Level].
[On]
Red-eye correction is performed on the image.
[Off]
Red-eye correction is not performed.
[Weak]
Correction level is small.
[Standard]
Correction level is between 'Weak' and 'Strong'.
[Strong]
Correction level is big.
Face Brightener

[Face Brightener]: [On], [Off]*
[Face Brightener Level]: [Weak], [Standard]*, [Strong]

If faces in the photographs appear dark because of backlight or underexposure, you can correct the brightness of the entire image to obtain the desired brightness for faces.
You can specify the settings for each type of data: [Face Brightener] and [Face Brightener Level].
[On]
Face Brightener is performed on the image.
[Off]
Face Brightener is not performed.
[Weak]
Correction level is small.
[Standard]
Correction level is between 'Weak' and 'Strong'.
[Strong]
Correction level is big.

NOTE
These settings are valid only when "Matching Mode" is set to [ICC Profile] or [Gamma].
These settings are invalid for black-and-white data.
If the color mode is set to [Black & White], these settings are invalid.
To activate the settings for "Red-Eye Correction Level", set "Red-Eye Correction" to [On].
The effect of the Red Eye Correction differs, depending on the data.
To activate the settings for "Face Brightener Level", set "Face Brightener" to [On].
The effect of the Face Brightener differs, depending on the data.
The Photo Optimizer Pro is not performed in the following cases:
When the number of pixels in the image is less than 400.
When the histogram of the image is biased.
When Photo Optimizer Pro detects that the adjustment is not necessary for the image.
The effect of the Photo Optimizer Pro differs, depending on the data. Desirable results may not be obtained especially for the divided image.
