Viewing the Online Help

The online help includes additional information about every features in the scanner driver. If the e-Manual does not provide the information you need, see the online help.

Viewing the ScanGear Tool online help

  1. Click [Help].

For instructions on how to start the ScanGear Tool, see "Selecting the Scanner."

The online help is displayed.

Topic pane (right side): Displays the description of the information.
Navigation pane (left side): Click [Contents] / [Index] / [Search] to search for information.

Viewing the Color Network ScanGear/Network ScanGear help

  1. Click [].

The scanner driver can be started by accessing it from a TWAIN-compliant application (such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Word/Excel/PowerPoint in Microsoft Office 2000 and later, etc.)

In the application, select the command for scanner selection (for example, "Select Scanner", or "Select Source") → select [Color Network ScanGear] (or [Network ScanGear]).

The online help is displayed.

Topic pane (right side): Displays the description of the information.
Navigation pane (left side): Click [Contents] / [Index] / [Search] to search for information.

Remark
  • The ScanGear Tool cannot be started at the same time as the Color Network ScanGear/Network ScanGear.
  • The window displayed may differ according to the operating system etc.
