By installing system related optional accessories, the user can expand the functionality of the machine. This section describes the system related optional accessories and their functions.

For information on the optional products required to use this function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function (imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7065/C7055)."

• PCL Printer Kit

The PCL Printer Kit supports PCL emulation printing solutions. It supports PCL5e/6 emulation printing solutions.

• PS Printer Kit

The PS Printer Kit enables you to use the machine as a PS printer. It also enables you to print PDF file from the Memory Media and Advanced Box.

• ColorPASS, imagePASS

ColorPASS and imagePASS are printer controllers which attach to the back of the machine. ColorPASS and imagePASS support Adobe Genuine PostScript 3 (imagePASS also supports PCL5c and PCL6), and are suited for office environments in which larger print volumes are frequently processed, or for users who use Adobe PostScript or other PostScript applications.

• Direct Print Kit (for PDF/XPS)

The Direct Print Kit (for PDF/XPS) enables you to print PDF and XPS files from the Remote UI. It also enables you to print PDF file from the Memory Media and Advanced Box.

• Barcode Printing Kit

The Barcode Printing Kit enables you to print various barcodes.

• Additional Memory Type B (512MB)

This option enables you to expand the memory capacity of the machine.

• Super G3 FAX Board

Installing the Super G3 FAX Board enables you to send and receive fax documents. You can also send documents that have been created in applications directly from your computer via a network.

• The Canon Fax Driver is supplied with the Super G3 FAX Board, and enables you to send fax images from a computer via the machine.

• Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board

The Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board enables you to use two lines to send and receive fax documents.

• Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board

The Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board enables you to use three or four lines to send and receive fax documents.

• Remote Fax Kit

The Remote Fax Kit is needed to use the Remote Fax function. The Remote Fax function enables you to share the fax function on the same network. If there is an imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine with the fax board installed on the same network, you can send fax document, via the machine with the fax board, from the machine with no fax board.

• IPSec Board

This is the option for using the IPSec communication. IPSec is a protocol for creating a security policy to protect data received from and sent to the IP network from threats such as interception, alteration, and theft.

• Expansion Bus

The Expansion Bus is necessary to install the IPSec Board and Wireless LAN Board.

• Universal Send Security Feature Set

This option enables you to use the Send function on the machine with security. You can send the document in the following format.

• Encrypted PDF
  The Encrypted PDF mode enables you to encrypt PDF files that you send to an e-mail address or file server for enhanced security. Only users who enter the correct password can open, print, or change the received PDF.

• Device Signature PDF or Device Signature XPS
  The Device Signature PDF or the Device Signature XPS mode uses the device signature certificate and key pair inside the machine to add a digital signature to the document, which enables the recipient to verify which device scanned it.

• Universal Send Advanced Feature Set

This option is useful when using the Send function on the machine. You can send the document in the following format.

• Trace & Smooth
  The Trace & Smooth mode enables you to convert the text and line drawings of a scanned image to scalable outline data. The outline data (Trace) can be extracted and used in Adobe Illustrator. The smoothing process can also be applied to the text of the outline data to make it appear less jagged when viewed on a computer monitor or in print.

• Searchable PDF or Searchable XPS
  The Searchable PDF or the Searchable XPS mode enables you to perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract data that can be recognized as text from a scanned image. The text can then be added to the file to create a PDF or XPS file that is searchable.

• Reader Extensions PDF
  The Reader Extensions mode enables you to create a PDF file that allows you to make annotations, add digital signature, and save edited files even on the free Adobe Reader.

• Office Open XML
  The Office Open XML mode enables you to create the Microsoft Office file standardized by International Organization for Standardization. This file can be sent in the PowerPoint format from the machine.

• Universal Send Digital User Signature Kit

This option enables you to use the Send function on the machine with security. You can send the document in the following format.

• PDF/XPS with Digital User Signature
  This is a PDF or XPS file with a unique digital user signature obtained from a certificate authority. This enables the recipient of a PDF or XPS file to verify which user signed it.

• Secure Watermark

The Secure Watermark enables you to embed hidden text in the background of copies. You can embed text, such as "CONFIDENTIAL," the date and time, or a department name. The embedded text only appears when the machine prints the copies.

• Data Erase Kit

The Data Erase Kit enables you to erase the data stored on the hard disk of the machine.

• Removable HDD Kit

The Removable HDD Kit enables you to remove the hard disk of the machine. By storing the removed hard disk in another location, you can reduce the risk of confidential information being leaked.

• 3.5inch/80GB HDD

This option is necessary when the Mirroring function is used with the HDD Mirroring Kit or HDD Data Encryption & Mirroring Kit.

• 3.5inch/1TB HDD

By replacing the hard disk installed in the machine with this option, you can expand the memory capacity. Two 3.5 inch/1TB HDD are necessary when you are using the Mirroring function with the HDD Mirroring Kit or HDD Data Encryption & Mirroring Kit.

• HDD Mirroring Kit

This option enables you to store the same data on multiple hard disks at the same time. Reliability is improved because when one of the hard disk fails, you can use another hard disk to return the system to normal operation.

• HDD Data Encryption & Mirroring Kit

The HDD Data Encryption & Mirroring Kit is an option that added the HDD Data Encryption function to the HDD Mirroring Kit. The HDD Data Encryption function enables you to reduce the risk of confidential information being leaked by encrypting all of the data stored in the hard disk of the machine.

• Document Scan Lock Kit

The Document Scan Lock Kit enables you to embed hidden user information or copy restriction information in the output when documents are copied/printed and reduce the risk of confidential information being leaked. It helps you to restrict scanning of the document (Scan Lock function) and identify the user that output the document (Tracking function).

The Image Data Analyzer Board, which is needed to detect the scan lock information, help restrict unauthorized copying, and analyze the tracking information is included with this kit.

• Web Access Software

The Web Access Software enables you to view Web pages from the touch panel display of the machine. If you register PDF files on the Web page, you can print them without using a computer. Moreover, if you create a Web page or special content, and then register it as a PDF file, you can share the Web page or special content with other users.

• Encrypted Secure Print Software

The Encrypted Secure Print Software enables you to encrypt print data sent from a computer using the Secured Print function, and decrypt it at the machine. This enables you to strengthen the security of print data by preventing the contents of your printed documents from being seen by other users, and preventing the unauthorized use of confidential information.

• Wireless LAN Board

Installing the Wireless LAN Board will allow the machine to connect to a network without using cables, and transfer data in infrastructure mode via an access point. Setting a password and authentication method reduces the risk of stolen data or unauthorized access by a third party.

• Voice Guidance Kit

The Voice Guidance Kit enables you to hear voice navigation instructions when operating the machine.

• Voice Operation Kit

The Voice Operation Kit enable you to hear voice navigation instructions when operating the machine. The Voice Operation Kit also include a voice recognition function, which enable you to set the various functions of the machine using your own voice.

• Remote Operator's Software Kit

The Remote Operator's Software Kit enables you to access settings or process job from a personal computer by displaying the machine's control panel on the computer screen.
