Date Printing

This mode enables you to print a watermark, date, and user-defined text onto the output.

Prints the date onto the output.


Remark
  • For information on the modes which cannot be set in combination with this mode, see "Combination of Functions Chart."
  • Printing performance may not be optimal, depending on the original content and combination of settings.
  • You can also adjust the position of watermark and date. (See "User-Defined Text for Page Numbers and Watermarks.")
  • If the Print Date mode is used with the Insert Sheets, the date will not be printed on the inserted pages.

  1. Place your originals → press [Options] → [Print Date].
  1. Set the number orientation and position.

You can select the top or bottom of the paper ([] or []), one of the four paper corners ([], [], [], or []) for the printing position.

  • If you set any two of the Page Numbering, Copy Set Numbering, Watermark, or Print Date modes to print in the same position, a message asking for your confirmation is displayed when you press (Start).
  • Press [X] and [Y] → press [-] or [+] to set their respective positions.
  • Press [OK].
  • Select the orientation of the image from [Upright Image] or [Sideways Image].

Orientation:

[Upright Image]: Press this if you are placing originals upright.
[Sideways Image]: Press this if you are placing originals sideways.

  1. Specify the print settings for the date.
  • Select the size of the date from the drop-down list.

Select the size of the date from [10.5 pt], [12.0 pt], and [14.0 pt].

  • Select the color of the date from the drop-down list.

You can select [Yellow], [Magenta], [Cyan], [Black], [Red], [Green], or [Blue] for the color of the date.

  • Select the date format from the drop-down list.

There are six different date formats that you can select in the drop-down list.

  • Enter the desired date using - (numeric keys).
  • If no date is set, the date set in [Date/Time Settings] in [Preferences] (Settings/Registration) is printed. Confirm that the date and time settings are correct.
  1. Press [Stamp Type].
  • If you are not performing the above operation, proceed to the step 6.
  1. Select [Transparent] or [Overlay] → press [OK].

Select [Upright Image] or [Sideways Image] for the image orientation.


  1. Press [OK].
