Selecting the Number of Output Pages

You can enlarge an original in the Poster mode by setting the number of output pages that the original image should be copied over.


  1. Place your originals on the platen glass → press [Copy Ratio].

  1. Press [Poster].

  1. Press [Number Of Output Pages] → [Next].

  1. Press [Change].

If you are not changing the paper size, proceed to step 6.

  1. Select the desired paper size → press [OK].

If you select the multi-purpose tray, the screens for specifying the paper size and paper type in the multi-purpose tray are displayed.

  1. Select the number of output pages → press [OK].

You can select [4], [8], [9], or [16] for the number of pages.

Refer to the table under "Determining the Copy Ratio and Number of Sheets Needed" as a guideline for specifying the number of output pages. (See "Poster")

  • The number of output pages that you have selected is used as a guideline. The actual number of output pages may be less than what you have selected, depending on a combination of factors that determine the most appropriate number of pages. These factors include the size of the original, the selected paper size, and the enlargement ratio.
  1. Press (Start).
  • If you press (Stop) while copying is in progress to cancel the copy job and then press (Start) again, copying resumes from the first sheet of the divided image.
