Manual Feeder Cleaning
If originals that have been fed through the feeder have streaks or appear dirty, clean the feeder's rollers.
Clean the rollers of the feeder with a cloth dampened with water, and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
IMPORTANT
Spin the rollers while cleaning them.

Clean the rollers of the feeder.
1. Pull the lever, and open the feeder cover.
2. Clean the rollers (a total of three places) inside the feeder cover.

Clean the rollers inside the inner cover.
1. Open the inner cover, holding it by its tab.
2. Clean the rollers (a total of three places) inside the inner cover.
3.
Clean the transparent plastic area on top of the inner cover.
1. Clean the plastic area.
2. Close the inner cover, and then close the feeder cover.
CAUTION
When closing the covers, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
4.
Clean the feeder scanning area.
1. Open the feeder.
2. Clean the feeder scanning area.
5.
Clean the resin roller and the surrounding area.
1. Turn the resin roller while turning the feed dial.
2. Clean the area while turning the resin roller.
3. Close the feeder.
CAUTION
When closing the feeder, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
