Reducing Toner Used When Color Printing
By adjusting the amount of toner used when color printing, you may be able to reduce problems such as the following.
Toner splattering in areas with dense images
Afterimages of dense text and lines
Poor toner fixing in low temperature environments
Dark areas when projecting images printed to transparencies
Bleedthrough when copying originals with printing on both sides
NOTE
This mode is enabled if you select [Full Color] in [Select Color] for the Copy, Print, or Access Stored Files function, or if the machine detects that the original is in full color when [Auto (Color/B&W)] is selected.
Setting this function may cause color printing quality to decrease.

Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Adjustment/Maintenance] → [Adjust Image Quality] → [Adjust Toner Volume Used for Color Printing].
3.
Select the amount of toner → press [OK].
Details of each item are shown below.
[Off]: Prints using the regular amount of toner.
[Level 1]: Adjusts (reduces) the amount of toner used in areas with dense color slightly when printing.
[Level 2]: Adjusts (reduces) the amount of toner used overall when printing.
