Staple Finisher-R1 (Optional)

Check the location of the paper jam, and follow the procedure described below, while referring to the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.

NOTE
The Staple Finisher-R1 is an optional product. If there is paper in the output tray, remove the output paper before proceeding with this procedure.

Remove any jammed paper protruding from the output tray.

IMPORTANT
Do not attempt to pull out the jammed paper by force. Doing so may damage the machine.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

	1. Lift the control panel.
	2. Open the front cover of the finisher.

Remove any jammed paper from the paper delivery guide.

	1. Open the paper delivery guide, holding it by the front tab.
	2. Remove any jammed paper.
	3. Close the paper delivery guide, holding it by the front tab.

Close the front cover of the finisher.

	1. Close the front cover of the finisher.
	2. Lower the control panel back in place.

CAUTION
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

IMPORTANT
After you have cleared all the paper jams, make sure to return all the covers to their original positions. Once you have removed all of the jammed paper, printing resumes.
