Before using the machine in a network environment, it is necessary to perform the following setup procedures.
1 Connecting the Machine to a Computer or Network
Connect the machine to the network using the network cables.
2 Interface Settings
Specify the interface settings for communication between the machine and computers on your network. To specify the settings, use one of the following:
The machine's control panel
The Remote UI (via a Web browser)
3 Communication Environment Setup
Set up the environment for communication between the machine and computers on your network.
4 IEEE 802.1X Authentication Settings
Specify the settings of IEEE 802.1X authentication.
