Saddle Stitch Staple Repositioning
You can reposition the stapler of the saddle stitcher unit after clearing a staple jam, or after replacing the staple cartridge. Saddle stitch staple repositioning works by feeding several sheets of paper into the saddle stitcher unit and stapling them together.
This mode can be set when the Saddle Finisher-AM2 or the Booklet Finisher-T1 is attached. (See "Finisher-AM1/Saddle Finisher-AM2/Puncher Unit-BS1/Puncher Unit-BT1," "Staple Finisher-T1/Booklet Finisher-T1/External 2/3 Hole Puncher-C1/External 2/4 Hole Puncher-C1/External 4 Hole Puncher-C1.")
IMPORTANT
Use 12" x 18", 12 5/8" x 17 11/16", 11" x 17", LGL, LTRR, or custom size (8 1/4" x 11" to 12 5/8" x 18" (210 mm x 279.4 mm to 320 mm x 457 mm)) paper for the saddle stitch staple repositioning procedure.
Make sure to remove all output booklets from the Booklet Tray of the finisher or the stack area of the trimmer before performing the saddle stitch staple repositioning procedure.
This mode cannot be performed if transparency/clear film can be fed. Open the paper drawer or paper deck which contains transparency/clear film, keep it open so that transparency/clear film cannot be fed, and then perform this mode.
