Coated Paper Productivity/Gloss Priority
You can set whether priority is given to productivity or gloss quality when you copy or print on coated paper.
IMPORTANT
[Coated Paper Productivity/Gloss Priority] is displayed only when the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if [Coated Paper Productivity/Gloss Priority] is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
NOTE
This setting is disabled, depending on the basis weight of coated paper used.

Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Print Settings].
3.
Press [Coated Paper Productivity/Gloss Priority].
4.
Select [Productivity Priority], [Gloss Priority], or [Standard] → press [OK].
Details of each item are shown below.
[Productivity Priority]:
This mode gives a priority to productivity when you copy or print on coated paper (1-sided coated paper, 2-sided coated paper, matte coated paper) 1 to 4. The print speed increases but the gloss quality may be adversely affected.
[Gloss Priority]:
This mode gives a priority to gloss quality when you copy or print on coated paper (1-sided coated paper, 2-sided coated paper, matte coated paper) 1 to 3. The gloss quality increases but the print speed may be adversely affected.
[Standard]:
This mode is the default setting and allows for stable image quality without decreasing print speed.
