Approving or Canceling Login Users from a Device
This section describes the procedure for logging in from the touch panel display of a Canon device to approve or cancel login users.
IMPORTANT
To log in to the device, a login service must be set. For more information on setting a login service, see the manual accompanying your device.
For information on Canon devices without a touch panel display, see "Approving or Canceling Login Users from a Web Browser."
After logging in, you must be using Canon Business Imaging Online to use the functions of Access Token Provider. Access Token Provider must also be started.
NOTE
The procedure uses the SSO-H login service as an example. To use another login service, see the manual accompanying your device.
Approving Login Users from a Device
You can log in from the touch panel of a device to approve the login user in the authentication service of Canon Business Imaging Online.
NOTE
When using a proxy with the device, it is necessary to add '127.0.0.1' to [Address Without Using Proxy] in the [Web Access] menu. For more information, see the manual accompanying your device.
The user approval function of Access Token Provider may be used while operating other MEAP applications. In this case, proceed to step 3.
1.
Enter [User Name] and [Password] → press [Log In].
2.
Start [Web Access] in the device → enter the following URL in the address entry area.
https://127.0.0.1:8443/atp/device
3.
Enter the tenant ID for Canon Business Imaging Online in [Tenant ID] → select [Authenticate with Canon Business Imaging Online.] → press [To Login Page].
4.
Enter the user ID and password for Canon Business Imaging Online in [User ID] and [Password] → press [Log In].
A screen confirming approval is displayed.
NOTE
The Canon Business Imaging Online user account entered in this step is associated with the login user of the device.
5.
Press [Allow].
The login user is approved.
NOTE
If the user approval function of Access Token Provider was used while operating another MEAP application, the device returns to the original MEAP application.
6.
Press [Log Out].
Canceling Login Users from a Device
You can log in from the touch panel of a device to cancel login user approval.
NOTE
When using a proxy with the device, it is necessary to add '127.0.0.1' to [Address Without Using Proxy] in the [Web Access] menu. For more information, see the manual accompanying your device.
1.
Enter [User Name] and [Password] → press [Log In].
2.
Start [Web Access] in the device → enter the following URL in the address entry area.
https://127.0.0.1:8443/atp/device
A screen confirming approval cancelation is displayed.
3.
Press [Yes].
The login user approval is canceled.
4.
Press [Log Out].
