Advanced Box
The flow of basic operations for using files stored in the Advanced Box is shown below.
Space Selection Screen
If authentication is set, the Space Selection screen appears after you enter the user name and password.
In the Advanced Box, there are two types of space available:
the Shared Space for sharing the same file with other users, and the Personal Space for personal usage.

Press to return to the upper level.

[Advanced Box Details]
Press to check the details of the Advanced Box.

[Edit Personal Space]
Press to edit or check a file in a Personal Space.
Edit Personal Space Screen
Display this screen when you want to edit the Personal Space.

[Rename Opened Folder]
Press to change the folder name for the Personal Space.

[Create Personal Space] ([Delete Personal Space])
Press to create or delete a Personal Space. [Delete Personal Space] is displayed only if a Personal Space is created.
File Selection Screen
A list of folders and files in the selected space is displayed.
An icon indicating the file format of each file when it was scanned and stored appears.

You can specify the following settings:
Register to Quick Menu (See "Quick Menu.")

[Name]
Press to sort the files by name, in ascending or descending order.
[Date/Time]
Press to sort the files by date/time, in ascending or descending order.

[Folder Operations]
Press to display the menu for editing the folders in the storage space.

[Display Image]
Press to view the contents of the selected file.

[Edit File]
Press to add a file, delete the selected file, or change a file name.

[Print]
Press to print the document.

[Details]
Press to check the details of the selected file.

[Clear Selection]
Press to cancel the selection of a file.

[Up]
Press to return to the upper level.

[Update]
Press to update the contents of the storage space.
Edit File Screen
Display this screen when you want to edit a file in a folder.

[Delete]
Press to delete a file stored in the folder. You can select and delete up to 32 files at a time.

[Change File Name]
Press to change a file name.

[Add Files (Scan and Store)]
Press to scan and add a file.
Scan Screen
Display this screen when you want to scan an original and store it as a file in the selected folder.
NOTE
If you want to use the following resolution settings to scan a color image, it is necessary to expand the memory capacity ofthe machine with the Additional Memory Type A (512MB).

Changing the Default Settings

[Direct]
Press to scan your document in the same size as your original.

[Copy Ratio]
Press to reduce or enlarge the scanning size of the original.

[Scan Size]
Press to set the size of the original that you are going to scan.

[File Format]
Press to select the file format for the files to store.

[Favorite Settings]
Press to recall scan settings or register frequently used settings in the Favorite Settings.

[Restore Default Set.]
Press to cancel all settings. (The machine restores the default settings for Scan and Store.)

[Options]
Press to specify useful scan settings, such as scanning different size originals together or dividing originals into multiple batches.

[File Name]
Press to assign the file a name.

[Density]
Press to adjust the density for scanning.

[Original Type]
Press to select the type of original (text only, photo only, or both text and photo) you are going to scan.

[2-Sided Original]
Press if you are scanning a two-sided original.

[Select Color]
Press to select the color for scanning.

[Resolution]
Press to select the resolution for scanning.
Print Settings Screen
Display this screen when you want to print files that are stored in a folder.

[Favorite Settings]
Press to recall scan settings or register frequently used settings in the Favorite Settings.

[All Pages]
Press to select all the pages for printing.

[Specify Pages]
Press to specify pages for printing.

[Restore Default Set.]
Press to cancel all settings. (The machine restores the default settings for Access Stored Files.)

[Start Printing]
Press to start printing.

[Options]
Press to specify useful print settings, such as selecting the halftone mode to use for printing, and enlarging the printable area to the edges of the page.

[2-Sided Printing]
Press to make two-sided prints.

[Finishing]
Press to select the Collate, Group, or Staple mode.

[Select Paper]
Press to select the paper size/type and the paper source.

IMPORTANT
You cannot store files in the Advanced Box in the cases described below. (These numbers may vary depending on the remaining capacity of the memory.)
When the storage capacity of the Advanced Box (15.0 GB) is exceeded (If the 2.5inch/1TB HDD is attached, the storage space of the Advanced Box becomes 629.2 GB).
When more than 32 computers or other machines simultaneously access the Advanced Box of another imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine that has been made accessible on the network using SMB.
When the full pathname, including folders and the file name, exceeds 256 characters in length.
When more than 100,000 files or folders are stored in the Advanced Box.
When more than 1,000 files or folders are stored in the selected folder.
When the size of a single file exceeds 2 GB.
If Authentication Management is set for users of the Advanced Box, after you finish using the Advanced Box, ensure that you press (Log In/Out) to log out.
NOTE
We recommend that you delete unwanted files or image data from the Advanced Box to make space for storing new files.
